Why is it that all the great games that everyone love, at least the games that cool people used to play. Is hard to get, and even harder to get working if you have a newer computer or is running linux. I once got WineX working, but now again, mostly due to the fact that I don't have a NVidia graphics card, its not working at all. Bleh, Having to reboot to play games for an hour or so ... Or I could do what I should do, some work...

While WineX goes a long way towards making gaming viable on Linux, it's not there yet. And having an ATI card makes things even harder. This is another example of how Linux fails the average end user. Linux is a great server platform, it's great for techie work, but for average everyday use, gaming, music, anything, it's a royal pain to work with. Rebooting is a necessary evil right now.

You can't force an OS to do things it isn't yet meant to do. Linux isn't meant for games, Windows really isn't meant for servers, Macs aren't really meant for anything
